The Opening Day parade is one of the most special experiences for our Players!
Here's what you need to know:

• The parade will begin from the parking lot just east of 52nd St Auto Wash (you'll see the crowd!) and end on Field 1 at the KBSL complex - the City of Kentwood is kind enough to block 52nd street for the KBSL parade!
• As the parade ends, players will be guided to the outfield on Field 1 for the Opening Ceremony. (We've got some very fun guests!)
• Teams should wear their jerseys and are encouraged to show their team spirit with signs, balloons, face paint, cheers, or anything else they come up with...however, candy/prizes MAY NOT be thrown from the parade!  **There will be prizes for the girls, boys and co-ed team who show the most spirit during the parade!**
• It's vital that we stay on schedule (we're shutting down traffic, after all!) so please follow the parade schedule below:

7:40am - Parade line up.  Look for the flag with your Player's division (A, B,C,D,E).  Cars may not enter the staging area, so you will need to park in another area of the lot to walk your child to the staging area to meet their team.
8:00am - Parade begins!  Make sure you grab a spot along 52nd street after you drop your player off!
8:30 or immediately following the end of the parade - Opening Ceremony on Field 1

Team and individual pictures will be taken on Opening Day inside the Valleywood Middle School gym.  Your Coach will let you know your Team's appointment time and give you an order form.  You can also find an online form here.
Please read these important notes regarding pictures:

• Enter the gym through the back door near the tennis courts and field 5.
• All teams must have a team picture taken, as your team sponsor will receive a thank you plaque with the team picture on it. 
• Even if you don't plan to order individual pictures, we ask that you have your player present for the team picture.
  
• The photographer works very quickly and on a tight schedule.  Teams should meet a few minutes before their appointment time, so they're ready when it's their turn!
• If you didn't receive a picture order form, please see your Coach, or click here for an online form.
• Picture retake day will be June 5 starting at 5:00pm.
